Patwari suspended on public complaints

HARIPUR: Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir on Monday suspended the halqa patwari of Makhniyal on the complaints of villagers and ordered an inquiry against him.The official issued the order of suspension during a ‘Khuli Kutchehry’ held in Makhniyal village where the officials of revenue, education, health, social welfare, Tehsil Municipal Administration and Sports department were in attendance.The local people shared their difficulties about health, revenue, roads and education departments. The villagers accused the patwari Muhammad Ali of not attending his office regularly and demanding gratifications from the local landowners. The people complained of the shortage of staff and other medical facilities in the Basic Health Unit Makhniyal, lack of teaching staff and other facilities in the government schools. \The participants attributed the underdevelopment to lack of facilities, especially the dilapidated condition of roads, delay in payment of compensation for their land that the government had acquired for different roads. The deputy commissioner ordered the department concerned for early redressal of complaints of the villagers.
