This refers to the editorial, 'Governance changes ahead?' (November 26). The editorial has touched a very important issue of the poor governance and performance of the chief minister of Punjab. Strong reservations were expressed from day one from within and out of the party regarding the chief minister but the PM remained unmoved due to political compulsions. Punjab has always remained in the limelight in the past due to good governance; that is now missing altogether and frustration is at its peak.Running a big province by remote control has considerably damaged the popularity of the PTI government. Punjab needs a mature and experienced administrator immediately to bring the province on track as suggested in the editorial.Mukhtar AhmedKarachi
