ANP says it was bound to back PPP candidate

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) would support the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate in the Senate election to be held today (Tuesday). PPP delegation led by the party’s provincial president Humayun Khan held a meeting with the ANP leaders at the Bacha Khan Markaz.ANP provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak, member provincial assembly Nisar Ahmad Mohmand and other leaders were present at the meeting. The PPP leaders told the ANP leadership that according to the Muttahida opposition formula, the PPP candidate should be supported as the seat was vacated by its member.
