Iqbal Day celebrated at KRL College

Islamabad :KRL Model College for Boys celebrated ‘Iqbal Day’ to pay tribute to the national poet, Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The programme was arranged under the supervision of college administration. Jamil Anwar, director Incharge SIPS Division, was the chief guest on the occasion. The students, teaching staff and other guests joined this session.The ceremony was started with the recitation of Holy Quran. The stage activities were conducted by Prof. Bahar Mustafa Shamsi, who gave a brief sketch of Iqbal Day celebration, keeping in view the importance of this day. Later on programme was followed by tableau and performances on Iqbal’s poetry, which were presented by students of various classes. The programme was highly appreciated by the audience. At this occasion, Principal Prof. Wali Astan while addressing, paid homage to the great poet of era who gave the message of self respect to the Muslim youth.In the end, chief guest Jamil Anwar addressed the students and paid tribute to great poet by enlightening his thoughts. This prestigious ceremony was came to an end with national anthem.
