Chinese team holds event on governance

LAHORE : A delegation of International Department of Communist Party of China led by Dr Ou Liming, vice-president of Yunnan Provincial Party School held a symposium in Lahore to brief the participants on the governance experience of the party.The symposium was aimed at strengthening mutual learning and cooperation between the parties of China and Pakistan. Dr Ou emphasised that China and Pakistan share all-weather strategic relationship and there was a need for communications and exchanges to make the relationship more comprehensive.Dr Ou also introduced how the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Chinese government eliminated poverty and how they exercise strict governance over the party to fight against corruption.This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Over the past 70 years, under the strong leadership of CPC and with the hard work of all Chinese people China became the second largest economy in the world and helped about 70 million poor people get rid of poverty.To constantly win the support of the public, all CPC members should always stay true to the mission of serving the people said Dr Ou. "Different countries have different conditions, that's why we should learn from each other and implement what we have learnt accordingly," said Dr Ou. Chinese people take Pakistani people as their true iron brothers, Dr Ou Liming said, adding, “We sincerely believe that CPEC is a good platform that leads both of us to success, benefits our people and further promotes bilateral relations.”“Therefore, we shall never be bothered by the noise made by the west as we know we are marching towards a bright future,” Dr Ou Liming stated.
