E&D rules

In our country, there are several controversial and misused laws, bylaws, rules and regulation into the existence, but here we have to speak about the Government Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 1973. These – the E&D Rules – are the most misused rules in our unjust society nowadays. There is a selective application of these rules which is why efficiency and discipline have become alien to our many public-sector organizations. Many persons who are placed in authority positions do not bother not about the fair application of the E&D Rules which is why officers, among others, with proven dishonesty, gross negligence etc rule the roost in several public-sector organizations both at the federal and the provincial levels, but who cares in this society? The question is: are those above BPS-19 above the law?Hashim AbroIslamabad
