Delayed project

The extension of the Metro-Bus project from Islamabad to New Islamabad International Airport is facing delay due to lack of interest by the current government. The 25.6km long extension had initially been slated to be built by Aug 14,2017 – to coincide with the opening of the airport.Along with delays to the airport, the project to saw delays and was later slated to be completed. More than Rs4.5 billion has been allocated. However, the project has caused much hardship to the citizens. Citizens say that taxi drivers charge Rs500-1000 from Saddar Rwp to the new airport. The government should take some action on this issue.Muhammad Usman RajaRawalpindi
