Dangerous bites

There has been a lot of coverage in the press as well as in the electronic media recently regarding a great number of street dogs roaming about in urban and rural areas causing serious bites to children in particular which have caused, in some cases, deaths to the affected persons. It has also been reported that in most of these cases the patients could not get the requisite medicine to cure themselves from the adverse effects of the dog- bites. It seems nobody has taken the problem seriously as we have not heard any action taken by any authorities.What should the local authorities do when packs of street dogs are seen in the markets, in the streets and on the roads.
