Potato Palace

FOOD REVIEWBy Salwa AhmedKarachites love for potato cannot be denied. A newly opened eatery in Karachi, Potato Palace, is delivering something new and unique when it comes to potato. One of the owners told Us that people used to demotivate them and think they were crazy for opening up such a restaurant: “They would be surprised upon learning that our entire restaurant focuses on aalu (potato). We didn’t care what people said and opened up this place we were so passionate about and brought about something new for the crowd who wanted something different from burgers, pizzas, biryani and rolls.” There is spacious, cozy and elegant dining area in the basement. The black table and chairs pop out against the woody interior. The environment it creates is perfect for families, and friends. While we waited for the order the conversation shifts to the quality of ingredients especially the distinct sauces they use in their products. “We have our own secret recipe for the sauces and all the products we use are imported. When you offer quality, you win satisfied customers. We will soon be introducing very creative and unique varieties of fries”.We ordered steak fries, pepperoni pizza fries, jalapeno poppers, and fish ‘n’ chips. The steak fries were served in pans with wooden base. The pepperoni pizza fries were cheesy goodness. They were not only heavily topped with pizza topping but they had this creamy sauce all the way towards the base. The serving was generous and servers had quite a welcoming attitude. The food was fresh and prices were very reasonable compared to the quality and quantity of food. The best and unique variety of loaded fries and food in general! My opinion is if you are looking for fast food that’s unique and filling, this could be one of the places.
