Mansehra man gunned down in Karachi

A man was gunned down in broad daylight in an alleged target killing incident in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Saturday.The incident took place on Khayaban-e-Sehar within the limits of the Darakhshan police station at around 2pm.The police said the man died on the spot, and his body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy and later handed over to his family for burial.According to a police official, 36-year-old Talazar, who hails from the Mansehra district, was targeted and killed by motorcyclists while he was in a car.He added that Talazar was shot once in the head. The victim worked as a driver and was a father of four children.Police officials said he had a land dispute and a trial was underway in a Mansehra court.The police seized an empty shell of a .30bore pistol from the crime scene, and it had been sent to the forensic division of the Sindh police.Police, while quoting the victim’s family, who belong to the Khan Khail tribe, said they had an enmity with their old neighbours, namely Awal Jan, Muhammad Zar and Malik Jan, adding that one of their family members, Latif, was also killed in an attack a few years ago.The family claimed their enemies came to Karachi from Mansehra and killed Talazar.The police said that no case had been registered as the victim’s family said they would get a case registered after the burial.
