Prince in Pakistan

During the Saudi crown prince’s recent visit, PM Imran Khan requested for the release of some Pakistanis who were in Saudi prisons. The crown prince responded positively to Imran Khan’s request and ordered the immediate release of the prisoners.Requesting and appealing for the welfare of his people reveals the resolve and steadfastness of Imran Khan. His request was for the uplift and prosperity of helpless people.Shaukat Hayat BuneriBuner*****It was impolite on the part of the government to not invite opposition leaders to the events hosted for the Saudi crown prince in Islamabad. No democratic mind can ever think of such a surprising decision on the part of the ruling elite. What message have we given to the outside world and particularly to the crown prince? The episode highlighted a sharp divide among the political elite. The ongoing fight between the government and the opposition can even result in the collapse of the system. Instead of indulging in petty fights, politicians should work together to run the state’s affairs effectively.Zahid Ali KhanRawalpindi
