LAHORE: A 45-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified persons in the Shalimar police jurisdiction on Wednesday.Police said some unidentified persons approached victim Imran, a resident of Chaman Park and shot at him after exchanging harsh words with. Police collected evidences from the crime scene and recorded the statements of eye witnesses. Investigation is going on to know the motive behind the killing. The family of the victim said they had no enmity with anyone.Body found: The body of a 30-year-old man was found in a ditch near Jamoo Stop on Bedian Road on Wednesday.Rescue 1122 fished out the body from the ditch and handed it over to police. The body was removed to morgue. Meanwhile, an 18-year-old youth was found dead in limits of Haier police on Wednesday.Some locals spotted the body lying in an empty plot and informed the police. Police shifted the body to morgue. arrested: Naulakha police arrested seven accused and seized illegal weapons from their custody on Wednesday. Cases have been registered against the arrested accused, including Suleman, Sheroz, Usman, Yaqoob, Nadeem Foaad and Daud. One 222 rifle, three Kalashnikovs, a pistol and bullets were seized from them.Meanwhile, Civil Lines Division police have arrested 146 criminals during the last one week and recovered weapons and drugs from their possession. Police have recovered seven pistols, over three kilogram Charas and 100 bottles of liquor from their possession. Police have also arrested 48 criminals for violating the kite flying, one wheeling and loudspeaker acts.PFA: Punjab Food Authority’s two officers will attend an international training course in Thailand on Post-Harvest Technologies in November 2019. The training will be held by the Thailand government, PFA officials said adding that Director General Muhammad Usman has conducted interviews of shortlisted candidates on Wednesday. He said the selected candidates would study food safety issues during the tour which usually created after ready crops.
