400-bed special hospital approved

LAHORE: All possible resources are being utilised by the government for providing best health care facilities to the patients and clean and hygienic atmosphere to their attendants.These views were expressed by Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmeen Rashid while chairing the 11th syndicate meeting of Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) on WednesdayThe syndicate meeting gave approval to an agreement to launch PhD programmes in FJMU and King Edward Medical University. The syndicate gave approval for the land for sitting up second campus of FJMU. It granted approval to all the recommendations by the HR Committee of FJMU and regularisation of 180 contractual employees of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. It gave approval to set up 400 beds special hospital in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for care of mother and child. It gave approval to a master training programme for improve the ultrasonic facilities for gyne and other departments of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.The meeting approved the recruitment to fill the posts of Pathology Department and Medicine Department of FJMU.Approval to install tube-well fo provision of potable water in the hospital also given. The meeting granted approval to purchase colour ultrasound machine for the Radiology Department of Government Mozang Teaching Hospital.
