Work on Talash feeder inaugurated in Lower Dir

TIMERGARA: The Pakistan People’s Party former senator and MNA Ahmad Hassan Khan on Friday inaugurated work on 11kv express Talash feeder, which would be completed till the end of April this year.The 10.3-kilometre long express feeder along the road from Saddo, Timergara, grid to Talash would cost Rs17.73 million.A function in this regard was held in Talash, which was attended by area elders, social and political activists.A former provincial minister Mehmood Zeb Khan of the Pakistan People’s Party, Inayatur Rehman of the PML-N, Ghulam Rashid of ANP, Gul Hakeem Khan of JI, Haji Ajab Khan of JUI-F, district councillor Malik Barkat Khan, Fazal Wahab Swati and others also spoke on the occasion.The speakers lauded the efforts of the PPP former senator Ahmad Hassan Khan and his team for getting the project approved.They said local residents would fully cooperate with the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) construction unit for accomplishing the task before the advent of the summer.The speakers said that all political parties and their workers would voluntarily work to fix poles in the supervision of Pesco officials. Addressing the gathering, Ahmad Hassan said that political parties should join hands for development. He said that getting the approval of a development project was an easy task but accomplishing it within the stipulated time and cost was a hard job. The PPP leader said that construction of the Express feeder was a temporary solution to end excessive loadshedding and low voltage.
