FeedbackHey Ed,In the issue of February 8, my attention was caught by Syeda Alizeh Shehryar’s article. It actually made me think about the way I project myself differently in front of different people. In the presence of my family members, I try to look like a demure damsel, but I like to exude confidence when I am in classroom. Only my close friends know who I really am. I don’t do it deliberately, though. I think it’s merely my defence mechanism that kicks in to help me portray the right persona. So maybe it is normal and we should not worry about how we project ourselves when we are in the company of people. Good job, Alizeh.Hafsa Ali, MultaDear Ed,In last week’s issue of Us (February 22), I really loved the 17th instalment of Hackschool Project ‘Family, finals and food’ by Iqra Asad. Iqra is one of my favourite writers of the mag and I have read most of her articles and stories. She is one of Us magazine’s brightest stars and I hope she continues to entertain Us readers for a long time. Ahad Syed, Peshawar Hello Editor,In last week’s edition, I enjoyed reading the interview of Madiha Imam. And, do you know what? I thought she was related to Sadia Imam! I also read with interest the second part of ‘A Piece of Peace’ by Ashna Kashif, and I must say it left me wanting for more. Could you do away with pictures to increase word count and try to complete the story quickly?Arham Akbar, MultanHey Ed,It was with some surprise that I read BBC The Conversation - live from Pakistan! I think it’s a good sign that this programme was recorded in Pakistan, and at IBA Karachi. The comments of Faiza, Hajra, Nighat and Mahira were interesting and could empathise with Mahira about how working under pressure affects people. I also loved Hackschool story by Iqra Asad. It really is cool. Can you make it bimonthly?Zahra Ahmad, Karachi ReflectionNarrated by Abu Sa’id Al-Mu’alla (R.A)While I was praying, the Prophet (S.A.W) called me, but I did not respond to his call. Later, I said, “O Allah’s Apostle! I was praying.” He said, “Didn’t Allah say: ‘O you who believe! Give your response to Allah (by obeying Him) and to His Apostle when he calls you’?” (8.24) He then said, “Shall I not teach you the most superior Surah in the Qur’an?” He said, ‘(It is) Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.’ (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) which consists of seven repeatedly recited Verses and the Magnificent Qur’an which was given to me.” Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 61, Number 528Editor: Lubna KhalidUs Magazine, 4th Floor, Al Rahman Building, I.I.Chundrigar Road, Karachi, Pakistan.Twitter: @UsMag_TheNewsFacebook: Us Magazine - PakistanInstagram: Us - Magazine for the youthNo items without the full name and address of the sender will be accepted.
