Hanoi: President Donald Trump on Thursday said US was trying to help Pakistan and India defuse the situation, after days of escalating confrontation between the two nuclear armed nations seemed to bring them on the brink of war.Addressing a press conference, the US president said : "We have reasonably attractive news from India and Pakistan. We have been involved in trying to help them stop. And we have some reasonably decent news.He said: I think hopefully that's going to an end. That has been going on for a long time, decades and decades. There is a lot of dislike, unfortunately. So we have been in the middle trying to help them both out so we can gent some organization and some peace. And i think probably that is going to be happening .".on Wednesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in a statement after calls with his two counterparts, urged restraint from both sides as Pakistan shot down Indian warplane.
