Fawad fit for PSL final after gum surgery

KARACHI: Leggie Fawad Ahmed, who got injured in Quetta Gladiators’ qualifier of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) against Peshawar Zalmi on Wednesday, now felt better and would play final on Sunday, an official of his franchise said.“Yes, he underwent a gum surgery on Thursday at the Aga Khan hospital and is now okay. He will play final,” the official told ‘The News’. Fawad was hit in the face by a returning drive from Pakistan’s test opener Imam-ul-Haq in the qualifier against Peshawar that left his one tooth broken.After receiving injury he had been shifted to the hospital on Wednesday night.He is an Australian leg-spinner of Pakistan’s origin and has been bowling really well in the PSL-4 whose final phase is in operation here at the National Stadium.
