JOHANNESBURG: Hashim Amla will miss the remainder of the ODI series against Sri Lanka due to an illness in his family, Cricket South Africa confirmed on the eve of the fourth ODI, on Tuesday. Reeza Hendricks, who had originally been left out of the last two games, has been recalled in Amla’s absence and will link up with the squad ahead of the game at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday. Incidentally, Amla had been rested for the first three games of the series, which South Africa won to claim the series. He had replaced Hendricks in the squad for the last two games but has now chosen to skip them due to his father’s illness.
