Super star Mahira Khan, who will be seen in three films (Parey Hut Love, Legend of Maula Jatt, Superstar) this year, continues to make waves in Pakistan and beyond. The diva has been representing Pakistan on various international fronts and never shies away from speaking her mind. The latest addition to the list of accolades Mahira has received is the recently held Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA) where she was honoured with an award.“When we win awards outside of our country, it feels way more special,” Mahira expressed in her acceptance speech, adding that art connects everyone beyond politics and borders. She graced the red carpet in a powder blue outfit by Labour Joisie with jewels by Damas Jewelry. It was the third edition of the awards that took place on Friday, February 8, at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai. We reported earlier that Mahira will be featured on a panel discussion on the contribution of Urdu in cinema alongside Sarmad Khoosat and Indian actor Ali Fazal at the upcoming fifth edition of Jashn-e-Rekhta set to take place in Dubai later this month. Held annually, the three-day festival is devoted to preserve and promote the Urdu language, its literature and culture.
