Hashish recovered

KOHAT: The police on Tuesday thwarted a bid to smuggle drugs and arms and arrested the accused, sources said.The sources said the contraband was being smuggled from Orakzai tribal district to Kohat.According to police, on the directives of Police Officer Wahid Mahmood, a special campaign was launched to stop smuggling.In this connection, on a tip-off, a police party stopped a vehicle and recovered 2200 gram hashish, three pistols and several cartridges and arrested Syed Shakil Raza, a resident of Astarzai. The police registered a case and started an investigation.
