Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza’s critically and commercially acclaimed Actor In Law, which released in 2016 and featured Fahad Mustafa, Mehwish Hayat and late Indian actor Om Puri in prominent roles, was screened on Sunday February 3, at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai, India.Director Nabeel Qureshi took to social media to share the news. “Actor In Law - playing in Mumbai at Kala Ghosa Arts Festival,” he wrote on his official Facebook handle and shared a post from Om Puri Foundation.“The Om Puri Foundation is proud to present Actor In Law at the Kala Ghoda Film Festival. Late actor Om Puri’s award winning Pakistani film directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali Meerza, starring Fahad Mustafa, Mehwish Hayat along with Late Shri Om Puri,” the post read.Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is one of the leading art and culture events of India that will continue till February 10, 2019. The festival offers a combination of art, culture, cinema, theatre and music, giving way to an international discourse on new thoughts and ideas.Coming back to Actor In Law, it was one of the last films that Om Puri had filmed. The film touched upon multiple prevalent social issues and revolved around the story of an aspiring actor essayed by Fahad Mustafa. The legendary actor Om Puri (late) played the role of Fahad’s father.
