Aamina Sheikh shares her thoughts on Beyond Beautiful

Pakistan’s first beauty expo, Beyond Beautiful that commences today with an Awards Gala Night will honour a number of people who have put in efforts to change stereotypes related to beauty.Sharing her views on Beyond Beautiful, Aamina Sheikh, who is one of the Beyond Beautiful Advisory Board members, told Instep, “Beyond Beautiful is a platform to elevate our collective narrative on the concept of beauty - to move beyond the societal pressures of age old conformed stereotypes of what is beautiful.”The actress and global ambassador for PAGE also spoke about things she is looking forward to at the event. “I am quite excited about the fact that it will celebrate beauty through diversity and will open up dialogue on expanding our exposure to all that is beautiful.” She continued, “I am also looking forward to discovering beauty products and beauty services, giving accolades to ambassadors of change in the realm of beauty and most importantly, breaking barriers by talking about beauty limitations that exist.”The three-day event, spearheaded by Frieha Altaf, CEO/Creative Head at Catwalk Event Management & Productions, will feature custom hair and makeup shows, panel talks, workshops and master classes by local and international beauty brands. Beyond Beautiful that will run till Sunday (January 27) is not just an event; it is a movement to celebrate and enhance beauty, both within and outside.
