Unnecessary taboos

Marital rape is a real problem in our society but due to cultural taboos, people rarely discuss it. It is not even recognised in a legal or social context. But if we look elsewhere in the world, we will see that it is a recognised issue. Marital rape has been defined as any unwanted sexual act by a spouse. In Pakistan, many people do not even consider it rape.We just don’t hear many women talking about it. NGOs that work on women’s issues say that most women are reluctant to go to court on these issues.Muhammad TalhaKarachi
