It wasn’t a fluke when the complete soundtrack of the recently released and critically acclaimed crime thriller, Laal Kabootar starring Ahmed Ali Akbar and Mansha Pasha in chief roles, was not released prior to the film.Kamal Khan, the film’s director, told Instep in a recent interview that unveiling only two songs was part of a strategy. The reason was that songs often give away the mysterious element of the film. But now that Laal Kabootar has released and still running in theatres, the gritty, folksy soundtrack that was produced by Taha Malik has also been released – in entirety. Though ‘Jug(Art)’ by Taha Malik ft. Jabar Abbas and the title track, ‘Laal Kabootar’ by Taha Malik ft. Zoe Viccaji had been released before the film, now the full soundtrack has landed. In addition to the above releases, the OST features Mai Dhai on a song called ‘Raag Murli’ and a long epic song treat feat. Sanam Marvi called ‘Sanwal’.Of the four songs, three have been composed and produced by Taha Malik while ‘Sanwal’ has been penned by Mian Muhammad Baksh from the book of Saif-ul-Muluuk with Taha Malik having produced the song. The entire album is truthfully the best soundtrack of the year – so far.On ‘Laal Kabootar’ – the song – actor Osman Khalid Butt has also made his debut as lyricist alongside Asim Raza, Salman Khattak and Taha Malik.-The full album can be found on YouTube or streamed at:http://bit.ly/2IhcTDz
