Game of Thrones will return for its 8th and final season on April 14 and given the cult status the HBO series has amassed over the years, it will have massive audience for its two month run. All eyes on Winterfell, we know that the dozens of sub plots George R R Martin introduced will ultimately boil down to Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen’s coalition, Tyrion Lannister because he is the coolest character in the Seven Kingdoms and the White Walkers as they take over. Or do they? The only thing we can be sure of in Game of Thrones is its unpredictability. The cast and crew of Game of Thrones got together in New York this week for a premiere viewing of Episode One. While details are kept under wraps, certain bits of information did make their way to news feeds. Here are some facts and popular theories that may or may not be true:1. Episode 3 of Season 8 will be the longest; one hour 22 minutes to be exact.2. The Stark sisters, Arya (Maisie Williams) and Sansa (Sophie Turner), won’t be too accepting of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) upon her arrival at Winterfell despite her blossoming romance with Jon Snow (Kit Harington). We also know that Jon and Daeneys’ relationship is incestuous, which they’ll probably learn about too. There will be a romantic dragon ride before they do.3. There are no epic battle scenes in Episode One but we are looking forward to the eventual and inevitable clash between two fire breathing dragons and one zombie ice dragon. It’ll be Ice Magick versus Dragon Fyre, to quote the books.4. Few people of note died last season, leaving loads of room for slaughter in season 8. We saw Jaimie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) finally leave his sister’s side and the trailer showed him in Northern garb and promising to “fight for the living.” Will he return to King’s Landing or will he die an honourable death?5. Dany will end up marrying the Night King. That’s an eerie theory but dictates that her two living dragons will also die in battle and desperate to be reunited with her ‘children’ Dany will agree to marry the creepy Night King, who is already looking for a new queen. The speculations continue and will go on until the Season premieres, on April 14.
