Domestic violence

The horrifying Asma Aziz case has shaken so many around the country. Thanks to social media and her courage, Asma’s video went viral and the culprits were arrested. But Asma Aziz is not alone to have faced this unspeakable brutality at the hands of her husband. There are thousands of Asmas who are made victim to such domestic violence daily by the hands of men but their cases go unreported.Women are the most exploited class in our country. And for their due place in society they must come forward and speak up. Moreover, the government must fully support the rights of women and it must mete out exemplary punishment to those who enact violence against women. Only giving statements on the floor of parliament will do no good to the women who suffer daily within their homes.Syed BadshahBuner
