Since coming back to Pakistan, Zeeshan Parwez hasn’t skipped a beat – it seems. He directed the music video ‘Kon Hai Woh’ for the Islamabad-based music group Rocklite and is set to direct another one for them. He is also rumoured to have been roped in for Coke Studio Explorer but that remains conjecture at this point. He has previously worked on Coke Studio during its early editions. In addition, among his many music videos are some electrifying Sajid and Zeeshan videos as well as a number of music videos for Ali Azmat and a music video for Noori. Just recently, Zeeshan Parwez directed the music video for Rameez Khalid’s ‘Abhi Kabhi Sabhi’. At the end of last year, Zeeshan Parwez directed a fantastic video for Pakistan’s single biggest musician - Atif Aslam. During a recent interview with Instep, when asked about working with Zeeshan Parwez on the music video of ’12 Bajay’, Atif Aslam noted: “His aesthetics are mind-blowing. It was a pleasure.” Whether that will lead to future collaborations remains to be seen but in Atif’s catalogue of music videos, ’12 Bajay’ – directed by Zeeshan Parwez - is one of the finest, if not the finest music video to date.
