RAWALPINDI: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry Saturday said Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif’s release had sent negative vibes showing that it was certainly result of a deal.Talking to Geo News programme ‘Jirga’ anchor Saleem Safi, the minister said he had opposed the decision of giving the PAC slot to Shahbaz but Assad Qaisar showed his large-heartedness in order to improve the House environment. On the question of deal, he said they had stopped it so far and tried hard to see justice being meted out.He said the Sharif family was getting relief from courts.“We have no influence over the courts and NAB but the finger is pointed at us. We will challenge Shahbaz Sharif’s release in the Supreme Court,” he said. He said a deal with Shahbaz Sharif would not be better for the government. He said vehicles had not been hired for the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, as the Saudi delegation itself was bringing them.He said it was a matter of common sense from where 300 Prados could be taken on rent in Islamabad. He said an amount of Rs3.5 billion was incurred annually on those vehicles which had been auctioned off by the prime minister. He said the budget of Prime Minister’s House had been reduced from Rs5.1 billion to Rs3.1 billion.
