Islamabad : The Federal Directorate of Education has promised the completion of the scrutiny of the records of daily-wage teachers of Islamabad’s government schools and colleges by February 28.FDE director-general Dr Ali Ahmad Kharal told these temps during a function that federal education minister Shafqat Mehmood and adviser of the prime minister and local MNA Ali Nawaz Awan were taking keen interest in the resolution of their service regularisation issue.He said the directorate was examining the cases of daily-wage teachers, who were employed before November 2014, during scrutiny. The DG said the FDE would put up the list of teachers for regularisation to the education ministry by February 28. He warned that the principals forwarding false information about temps would face punitive action.The daily-wage teachers had put off their protest against 'denial' of regularisation last week after the intervention of PM adviser Ali Nawaz Awan, who promised strict yet early compliance with the high court's orders on the matter and said the government would withdraw the appeal against them from the Supreme Court.
