A scrap dealer was shot dead by unidentified men in the Shershah area on Wednesday. The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities and then handed over to the victim’s family for burial. According to SHO Inam Hussain, 22-year-old Shahzaib Khan was a scrap dealer and he had come to visit his sister in Shershah when two men riding a motorcycle shot him multiple times and escaped. The man died at the spot. The police suspected that the incident occurred over a personal enmity. A case has been registered and an investigation is going on.Labourer shot deadA 47-year-old labourer was shot dead at his doorstep by unidentified men in the outskirts of the city. Police officials said that the incident took place in the Chiragh Colony of Quaidabad within the limits of the Shah Latif police station.Naik Muhammad was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he succumbed to his injuries. Reacting to the information, the police reached the scene and inquired about the incident. According to Khuldabad police check post in-charge, Asim Baig, the victim hailed from Mansehra and was a labourer. The incident took place when unidentified men knocked at the door of his house and when he opened the door one of the assailants fired a shot at him and fled.The family initially claimed that the incident occurred over offering resistance to a house robbery bid, but the police suggested that the incident took place over a personal enmity.Man injuredA man was injured when he put up resistance during a robbery bid at the Quetta Madina Hotel in THE SITE area. The 50-year-old man, Abdur Rehman, was taken to the Civil Hospital for medical treatment. Police said that the man was injured over offering resistance to a robbery bid. The alleged robbers managed to escape following the incident. A case has been registered and police are conducting further investigations.
