Public Health Conference tomorrow

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Medical University in collaboration with the Department of Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Public Health Association KP is organising the two-day International Public Health Conference from February 27 to 28th.The theme is “Towards Evidence-Based Public Health’”. Minister for Health Dr Hisham Inamullah Khan will present the KP health policy at the conference.“The first ever provincial health policy has recently been approved by the cabinet and the KP government is now in the process to develop strategies for its implementation. Therefore, the timing of this conference is particularly important, where dozens of public health experts arecoming from across the world as well as from Pakistan to discuss this policy and its implementation in terms of available evidence and experiences,” said conference chairman, Prof Dr Ziaul Haq, Dean Faculty of Public Health, KMU.
