Rawalpindi : Managing Director Pakistan Tourism, Syed Waqar ul Hassan chaired a high-level meeting of PTDC’s Management and Departmental heads.Managing director said that the organisation owns a chain of motels located a prime tourist locations and hotel in Rawalpindi. A little improvement in services and face uplift will result not only in betterment of tourist facilities but also profitable for the organisation. He directed that the rooms of motels and Flashman’s hotel should be renovated and upgraded as well as focus on food & beverages and banquet hall sales. Multinationals, NGOs, pharmaceuticals may be approached to hold their meetings, conferences and seminars in PTDC’s facilities.PTDC needs to leave the old and obsolete methods by adopting new dynamic strategy to promote tourism in the country. By proper publicity and marketing, this organization can be back on track of its previous glory. He directed that the staff should be trained so that they may provide service up to international standard. General Manager Ali Akbar Malik presented a briefing on present financial and structural status of corporation’s subsidiaries.
