Non-payment of 10-month salaries: Levies men threaten to besiege CM House

WANA: The personnel of the Levies force from South Waziristan district have threatened to lay siege to the Chief Minister House in Peshawar if their 10-month salaries were not paid by March 10.Hundreds of members of the Levies force took out a protest demonstration and staged a sit-in at the Kashmir Chowk on the Tank-Wana Road. Speaking on the occasion, Salim Khan Mahsud, Sherpao Khan Mahsud and others said the members of the Levies force had not received their salaries in the last 10 months. They said they were facing difficulty in managing their household expenses. The protesters asked the prime minister to look into the matter and order the quarters concerned to release the pending salaries.
