The Counter-Terrorism Department of the Sindh police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping-cum-killing of a trader.According to CTD officials, police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in the Korangi Crossing area and arrested Nasir Hussain. Arms and ammunitions were said to have been seized from his possession.CTD officials said the suspect was affiliated with MQM-London and wanted to the police in the kidnapping-cum-murder case of a trader, Adnan. The FIR had been registered at the Jauharabad police station in November 2018. The suspect along with two companions had kidnapped the trader and demanded Rs10 million in ransom from the family, but the culprits killed the victim despite getting the ransom money.Rangers’ raidsRangers claimed to have arrested six suspects during raids in various parts of the city, including Shah Latif and Baloch Colony. The suspects were identified as Sajjad alias Mama, Zahid, Zeeshan, Naushad, Imran and Amir. A rangers spokesman said the six were involved in various cases of robberies and drug peddling.
