Model turned actor Kiran Malik recently made her big screen debut with Shazia Ali Khan’s Pinky Memsaab that has been chosen to screen at the 21st UK Asian Film Festival next month. Pinky Memsaab released in Pakistan and Dubai – where Kiran resides – in December last year while it has had multiple international screenings since then.The film features Kiran as the ‘Memsaab’, Mehr, who is a writer and a socialite based in Dubai. Kiran’s performance was received well, with praise pouring in for her from Pakistan, UAE and beyond. Gearing up for her next, Zarrar, opposite Shaan Shahid this year, Kiran has another feather in her cap; she has made it to Masala! UAE’s 40 Power Players that are featured in this month’s issue.The official Instagram handle of the magazine honours Kiran in these words: “Kiran Malik is the muse to Faraz Manan, Ather Shahzad, Umer Sayeed and other top names in the fashion industry.
