The 1st Adab Festival will feature 56 sessions in which around 140 speakers, including 15 international writers and scholars, will take part. Some of the speakers include Dr Ishrat Hussain, Noorul Huda Shah, Kishwar Naheed, Zehra Nigah and Mohammed Hanif among many others. The festival will commence from tomorrow (February 1), at 3.30 p.m. after Friday prayers and will run till Sunday (February 3) at the Governor House, Karachi. Come let’s paint into the unknown PebbleUp creativist and visual designer Zainab Zoeb will be conducting an intensive painting and journaling workshop facilitating mindfulness and deliberate creation. With the aim to retain and revive the culture, history and heritage of Karachi, TDF Ghar has organized an exhibition called ‘Karachi in the 1950s and All That Jazz’, which not only celebrates the history of our city but also reminisces about the Karachi of the 1950s. There will be plenty of cursing and sex jokes and is definitely not for the easily offended.The show will be held at Thotspot, Karachi on February 1 and 2, 2019 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eatistan A hybrid food and music festival with a unique objective to raise funds for Diamer Bhasha Dam, Eatistan will commence on Saturday, February 2 and will continue till Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Beach Park Clifton from 2:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.Sounds like the perfect thing to do over the weekend.First Fridays Open Mic: February Edition T2F’s First Fridays Open Mic is a platform for musicians, poets, and comedians to perform, improvise and experiment in an informal setting. The best part is that performers do not need to pre-register. All you have to do is show up with your instruments, props or whatever else you may need to get perform.
