KHAR: The Bajaur Siyasi Ittehad, a conglomerate of all political parties, on Thursday staged a mammoth protest against the recent killing of three labourers in Larkana city of Sindh province.A large number of activists of Bajaur Siyasi Ittehad, relatives of the slain labourers, traders, students and people from different walks of life gathered at the main Chowk in Khar, the headquarters of Bajaur district. The protesters blocked Khar-Munda road for all sorts of vehicular traffic. The traders and shopkeepers kept their businesses and shops closed to protest the killings. The three labourers from Bajaur were killed in Larkana a few days back. The office-bearers of the Bajaur Siyasi Ittehad, including Maulana Waheed Gul, Syed Abdul Manan, Attaullah Khan, Khan Bahadur, Syed Ahmad Jan and others addressed the protest rally.President of the alliance Maulana Waheed Gul said that they would stage demonstrations in all business centres of Bajaur district and in different parts of Sindh province until and unless the killer (s) were arrested. “The killing of innocent labourers is a tragic incident, which has sent a shock wave across the Bajaur district,” Maulana Waheed Gul said, alleging that the federal, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh governments were not serious to bring the culprits to justice. Maulana Gul said, “We have announced a committee which will organise demonstrations in different parts of Sindh province and Bajaur tribal district.” The speakers said that this was not a new incident and many incidents like this had happened in the past but now they would not remain silent anymore. They criticised the Sindh government to announce a small amount of compensation and demanded that the Sindh government should announce the Shuhada Package for the labourers. The speakers also came down hard on both the members of National Assembly elected from Bajaur and said that they had turned a blind eye to this tragic incident. They vowed to continue the series of protests in Bajaur and across the Sindh province.
