LAHORE : Model Town division police claimed to have arrested 184 criminals and seized arms and drugs from their possession.The police seized eight pistols, two rifles, three kg charas and 578 litres liquor. As many as 119 persons were held for violating the laws regarding kite flying, wheelie, price control and loudspeaker use.accidents: The Punjab Emergency Service/Rescue 1122 responded to 684 road accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Two people died and 778 sustained injuries in the road accidents. As many as 489 badly injured victims were removed to hospitals while 289 victims with minor injuries were given first aid by the rescue medical teams.rewarded: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) recently rewarded its “Champion Performers” of January 2019. PSCA MD Malik Ali Amir distributed certificates and cash prizes among not less than 21 promising officers, with gender representation of 19 male and two female officers, from IC3 sections such as Operations Monitoring Centre, Electronic Ticketing Centre, Video Control Centre, Media Monitoring Centre, Emergency Control Centre, Dispatch Control Centre, Access Control Centre, Lost & Found Centre and Electronic Data Analysis Centre.Security tightened: The security at the mosques and other religious places, including Imambargahs, remained tight here on Friday. Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit remained alert at all the sensitive mosques and Imambargahs. Police also checked all the vehicles and suspicious persons at the entry and exit points of the City.
