Legendary playwright, Anwar Maqsood and Dawar Mehmood recently collaborated for a theatre play called Naach Na Jaanay. Produced by the Karachi Arts Council, Naach Na Jaanay opened on March 16 in Karachi followed by a star studded media night on March 19. After getting rave reviews, the theatrical production, which was initially supposed to run till April 7 at the Karachi Arts Council, has been extended till April 14.KopyKats Production took to social media to announce the news. “Due to an overwhelming demand Naach Na Jaanay has been extended till the 14th of April at Karachi Arts Council,” read the post on their official Facebook handle.Naach Na Jaanay is a prequel to Aangan Terha that Anwar Maqsood wrote for television in the 80s and then recreated it for stage in 2013. The theatre play features Abdullah Farhatullah, Sara Bhatti and versatile artist Yasir Hussain - who has returned to stage after seven long years – in key roles.
