Islamabad : A three-day Spring Flowers, Vegetables and Birds Show organised by National Horticulture Society of Pakistan (NHSP) concluded here on Sunday.Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Capital Development Authority (CDA) Ali Nawaz Awan was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the annual flower show.Speaking on the occasion, Ali Nawaz Awan commended the efforts of National Horticulture Society in promoting culture of flowers.He said the society was playing a significant role in creating awareness among the people about floriculture, gardening, landscaping and maintenance of lawns.He said the NHSP was contributing to the noble cause by organising flowers, fruits and vegetable shows.It was an amazing work and passion of various organizations to contribute to horticulture, he added.Ali Nawaz Awan said one million trees would be planted during the current season in Islamabad under the 10 trillion trees project.Earlier, NHS Chairman Mansoor Ahmed Khan welcomed the participants in the prize distribution ceremony of three-day event. A musical evening was also held in the premises of flower show.
