Ranveer Singh shares first look as Kapil Dev in ‘83’

Bollywood's famed actor Ranveer Singh is all set play his dream role in his upcoming movie '83’. The actor shared the first look of Kabir Khan’s directorial in an Instagram post.The sports drama is based on India’s historic win against West Indies at the 1983 world cup. The ‘Gully Boy’ star will be seen playing former Indian skipper Kapil Dev.On Wednesday, the ‘Gully Boy’ star shared the first look of the film, posting a picture on instagaram. He captioned the picture, “One year from today, relive India’s greatest story #Relive83 Releasing on 10th April 2020.”In the picture, Singh can be seen striking a pose with his team in the field.Recently, Singh along with his co-stars was in Dharamshala, where he was training for the upcoming movie. Directed by Kabir Khan, ‘83’ narrates the journey of Indian cricket team led by Kapil Dev that won the cricket World Cup 1983.Previously, during the launch of the film, Singh had expressed his excitement about being a part of the film and said, “I was born at the time when cricket was big time. When Kabir Sahab had come to me and said that there will be a film on 83, I was like finally, and when he was narrating it to me, I was like woooh. It is not a story just about cricket but a human story.”Apart from Singh, ‘83’ also stars Chiragh Patil, Hardy Sandhu, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi and Tahir Basin in key roles.
