LAHORE: Four eminent foreign mathematicians arrived at the Government College University to address international symposium ‘Non Linear Analysis’ held under the auspices of the university's Mathematics Department. The foreign mathematicians included Dr Liliana Guran from Romania, Dr Arslan Hojat Ansari from Iran, Dr Muhammad Reza Rehmati from Mexico and Dr Jose Ferreira Alves from Portugal.Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah and GCU Mathematics Department Chairperson Dr Mujahid Abbas also addressed the symposium. Pashto debates: Government College University’s Debating Society (GCU-DS) held the fourth annual internal Pashto debates 2019 to promote national integration and cultural harmony.The topic of the debates was: “Wars cannot always be won by vigor. Now, it's time to defend ourselves through logic and rational”. Students from all departments of the university participated in the debates.Muhammad Shoaib from Political Science Department was adjudicated the best Pashto speaker of GCU, while Muhammad Kahsif Khan stood second.
