It’s not cute anymore

Illusions are alluring. Mirages are enticing. Promises are convincing. All of it, till a certain point. A point beyond which you start consorting with the reality, one beyond which you start to look at the real face of such cunning utensils of deception. The PTI used some of these to good effect in its rise to power. Unfortunately, these little shenanigans also have a shelf life, which is probably already over. It’s not cute anymore There’s just so much time the World Cup, SKMCH, Namal, and other such – good, yet unrelated – gubbins can buy you. People are starting to realise that their vehicles cannot be powered by the grace and elegance of rulers. When you have got a family to feed and bills to pay, the long-term big picture stuff is the last thing you care about. Until the situation improves at the ground level, this bitterness is going to creep up till a point when it turns into an opportunity for the opposition to cash in on , and that is not a decent picture, is it?Hussnain MagsiBhakkar
