Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said that he still wishes the Sindh government to have representation in the Karachi Transformation Committee (KTC), which will oversee the implementation of the federally funded development projects in the city.He said this while talking to the media on Monday at the launch of a tree plantation campaign at the Governor House as part of the prime minister’s Clean and Green Pakistan initiative. The KTC will also oversee the implementation of the development projects under the Rs162 billion special Karachi package announced by the PM during his visit to the city last week.“The Sindh government was approached again and again for getting the names of its representatives for the KTC, but we’re still waiting [for their response]. We want government representatives to be on the committee and give their advice,” said the governor.Replying to a question, he said that the federal government has decided to increase the prices of petroleum products in view of their rates in the international market. Ismail said the Centre has been taking steps for improving the environment by tackling pollution so that the people are provided with healthy living conditions.
