Celebration of Oral Health Week at Baqai University

KARACHI: On the occasion of World Oral Health day 2019, like every year Department of Community Dentistry, Baqai Dental College, Baqai Medical University celebrated “Oral Health Week” with full enthusiasm and devotion.The oral health week was observed from 20th to 26th of March 2019 and different activities were held in five primary health care centres on different days. The primary health care centres consisted of Baqai Dental College and Saleemullah Fehmi School unit 1, Baqai Medical Complex, Khuda ki Basti, F.W.C Layari, Fehmi health and Education Centre Gulberg, Baqai Medical Complex Khushal Nagar, Gharo.This influential program consisted of various activities that were specially meant to spread awareness of maintaining a good oral health. For this very purpose, in the five primary health care centres, oral hygiene awareness lectures were held along with free dental check-ups. Furthermore, free sampling of toothpastes and toothbrushes was also carried out. For the sole purpose of awareness of good oral health, “awareness walk” was also held. The department of community dentistry, Baqai dental college, made countless efforts to make this event a success. The oral health week concluded on the 27th of March 2019 with the celebration of “World Oral Health Day” in Baqai medical university.
