With a blanket ban on Bollywood films, quite a few Pakistani films have released in past months (Pinky Memsaab, Teefa In Trouble, etc.) back to cinemas across Pakistan. And quite recently, it was announced that all films released under the banner of Filmwala Pictures – helmed by producer Fizza Ali Meerza – will be shown at Cinepax Cinemas on account of International Women’s Day.Celebrating the significant contribution of Pakistani women in cinema, Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza’s Na Maloom Afraad, Na Maloom Afraad 2, Actor In Law and Load Wedding will have a week-long run in the cinema as part of ‘Women’s Day’ weekend, starting from March 8 till March 15.CEO Filmwala Pictures and producer of the aforementioned films, Fizza Ali Meerza said, “I’m honored to be a part of this initiative [by Cinepax] to celebrate the women of Pakistan. I hope we as a nation continue to acknowledge, appreciate and endorse women from different walks of life.”Fizza and Nabeel have a unique way of storytelling and the two pick up socially relevant themes with which they aim to entertain and educate viewers through important social messages. Their last film Load Wedding that features Fahad Mustafa, Mehwish Hayat, Faiza Hassan and Samina Ahmed in key roles highlighted Pakistan’s obsession with marriage and dowry.
