One of Pakistan’s most sought after actresses, Mehwish Hayat, who was honoured with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz earlier this year and appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for the rights of the Girl Child by the Ministry of Human Rights, took to social media admiring the former First Lady of United States, Michelle Obama for the work she has been doing with The Obama Foundation.
After Michelle Obama shared a video on Twitter and wrote about her recent visit to Vietnam and Malaysia which she said were “filled with so many hopeful reminders of the power that lies in education”, the Punjab Nahi Jaungi actress, who is also the Brand Ambassador of Muslim Islamic Charity, Penny Appeal, was quick to respond to her tweet. “I do so admire Michelle Obama and the work that she is doing with The Obama Foundation,” she replied.
“I wonder has she thought about standing in the elections next year? I think she’d make such a wonderful President. What do you say USA?” she added.
To answer Mehwish’s query, in Becoming by Michelle Obama, the latter has admitted that she has no desire to become the future president of America.
