LAHORE Punjab Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Chairperson Sara Ahmad called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and apprised him of the performance of the bureau here on Wednesday.The chief minister said the efforts made by the bureau for the destitute children were praiseworthy. He said the Punjab government would provide complete support to it. It is misfortune that such children are forced to beg, he said, adding beggar children would be handed over to CPWB during the campaign against beggary. They would be fully taken care of and education and training would be provided to them to make them useful citizens in society, he said.The CM directed the CPWB chairperson to visit different districts to run an awareness campaign about the steps taken for the welfare of hapless children. Securing the bright future of the deprived children is a priority agenda of the Punjab government and all resources are being utilised in this regard, he said. He said CPWB would be made an effective institution.He said the PTI government was striving for the betterment and growth of abandoned children by providing them with education and training. Sara Ahmad said every effort would be made to make CPWB a best institution and she would work with a commitment to fulfil the responsibility of rehabilitation of abandoned children.
