LAHORE: Punjab Emergency Service Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer presented over Rs4.3 million cheque as financial compensation to the family of Shaheed Javed Iqbal, Fire Rescuer (FR) Dera Ghazi Khan and appointed his widow in Punjab Emergency Service.Javed had joined the service in 2007 as FR and he was performing his duty in District DG Khan. While responding to an emergency, the heavy-loaded trailer collided with the ambulance on 19 November 2018 in which Javed and Amjad Farooq were injured. They were taken to the hospital where they passed away.The DG Rescue has appointed Javed’s widow in Rescue Service DG Khan. He also gave away cheque worth of Rs4.3million to Ghulam Farid father of Shaheed Javed Iqbal and facilitated his three children with free of cost education and one hearing impaired kid with free of cost therapeutic procedure.Dr Rizwan said I salute all those rescuers, who have lost their lives in the line of duty and raised the standards of the service with dedication, commitments, honesty, and professionalism.
