A labourer lost his life after falling from the 25th floor of an under-construction building in Phase VIII, Defence Housing Authority near Do-Darya, on Monday.The man was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The man succumbed to head injuries. The deceased was identified as Subhan, son of Sher Zaman. He was 30 years old.The man hailed from Bajaur Agency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to Darakshan police. He was working as a labourer and living in Karachi’s Khayaban-e-Qasim area, the police said. One of Subhan’s relative, namely Ali Khan, said the construction company was responsible for the death as it did not provide safety gears to the deceased labourer. The police said they would register a case “if it was found that the death was caused due to negligence” of the construction company.
